Time is Flying!

 I realize I haven't posted in a while....
Here are some of my favorite Sister's hard at work planning....

These Sisters don't cook as much as some of the other Sisters.
I will remember them as the ones who liked to eat cereal.
Sister L did cook some beans in the crock pot one day, though.
And Sister H likes to make smoothies.
They also like to put food into tortillas quite a bit.
Their companionship seems to be in a good comfortable groove...
they get along well and seem to enjoy each other's company.

Here they are getting ready to go out to their appointments.
The most important thing to tell you about them is....
they are working hard...
and they love the gospel!

An Eventful Day

The Sisters had an especially eventful day today.
They got to see, hear, and shake Elder Neil L. Anderson's hand.
This picture was taken at the stake center in Colleyville
(or Ft. Worth...I'm not positive on that one)
They bought some Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
They were caught in a small rainstorm.
They found some adorable kittens.
I'm sure you will hear all about it in their next letters.

Hermana Pineapple Update

While I was gone to work today
the Sister's decided Hermana Pineapple needed updating.
This is the new, more modern, more winning,
Hermana Pineapple. She has a new hairstyle.
I looked at a U-tube video that said it would
take 2 years...but she would grow a new pineapple.
I think she may go on transfers with one of the Sisters....

A New Hermana

The Sisters were almost ready to leave this morning when they noticed
that I was cutting up a fresh pineapple.
They quickly asked me if they could have the top part of the pineapple.

Someone they know had told them how to
"grow pineapples" by using a pineapple top.

They were very exact about following the directions they got from her.
I told them that I did not actually think they would get a "pineapple"
from this, but they would probably get some kind of pretty plant.

But they were pretty sure that a pineapple would grow ....

They were very, very serious about this.
Sister H even trimmed up the leaves just so, so it would be perfect.
The top part seemed a little crooked to me.
The water was supposed to just barely touch the bottom of the pineapple top.
They got down on eye level to be sure the water was not too high or low.
When they were satisfied with their expert planting job,
they went into the bedroom to practice their Spanish.
I went to work putting the finishing touches on the project.

We now have a new Hermana in the house!
I think she's from Cuba.

Waiting for a Ride

I got up this morning and noticed the Sisters were not in the house.
I looked outside and this is what I saw....

They said they were waiting for a ride....
Thought mom & dads would enjoy seeing their
missionaries in action....

24 Hour Exchange

Today Sister H and Sister R exchanged places for 24 hours.
Sister R is from a military family who has moved around a lot.
She has not been out very long (about the same amount of time as Sister H).
Sister H is in Garland with her old companion, Sister O.

Our mailman brought Sister L a package from her family today.
She was very happy, so say the least!

Hot, Hotter & Other Things

The Sisters took this picture of the dashboard in their car yesterday.
It was 118 degrees! They said they were SO HOT!!!

10:00 a.m. this morning in our back yard.

 6:00 p.m. tonight

10 p.m. -- You can see....it does not cool down here at night.

Despite the heat, they were happy Hermana's when they came home tonight.
They were heavy laden. I asked them, "What in the world do you have in your arms?"  They explained that they wanted to keep their car clean
(So this was the trash from inside the car).

They just looked so cute.

I love the scarf/bow in Sister L's hair!

Then they sat down at the table to eat bowls of cereal
and do their evening planning.

They were talking to Sister O (from California) on speaker phone.
I told Sister O to smile for the camera because I was going to
put her on the blog one last time!

I made a certificate of excellence for these sisters because
they even keep their car clean!!!
PS. They said to tell you that tomorrow is a holiday and they
don't know if they will be able to email or not.
I told them they could use our computer, but I think they have to
get special permission for that....so we'll see.
