Sister Maximum and Sister Red Baron are cold!

Yesterday the temperature was 73 degrees.

It dropped 20 degrees in less than 2 hours last night. 

 

Sister RB is eating ramen noodles for breakfast.... 

 She says warm feet are essential!

 

 The Sisters are trying to eat healthy...

 

 

 (Does this make up for the half gallon of ice cream they ate in 4 settings?)

They are watching their training video this morning

while they make pumpkin bread to take to their

investigators.

 

Baking is a good way to warm up on a cold day....

 

 Such is the life of a missionary!



Missionary Groundhog Day

 There is never a dull moment with missionary work

but sometimes it does seem like

"Groundhog Day" (the movie)....

Today the Hermanas are off to the library

to email, then it's off to play sports, off to the grocery store,

and then off to appointments in the evening...
I love the Sisters hair accessories.

 

They are always ON THE GO!

It is a bright sunny day.
The weather is perfect!

Day at the Temple

The Sisters got a treat today....

 

 They got to go to the Temple!
( I wasn't there, but Sister Red Baron gave me the pictures.)



Called to Serve

 Yesterday was P-day. The Sisters went to teach a lesson first thing

in the morning...then they returned to do their laundry,

go to church to play sports, and ran to the store to do their

grocery shopping. They breezed in the door at 5:30 p.m with this

healthy dinner in hand ..... Quiznos sandwiches, chips, and

ice cream for dessert.

 

 

 

I think the ice cream was their favorite part of the meal.

After their quick dinner.... it was off to teach!

 

 They have a meeting first thing this morning.

 

 Cold weather is expected this afternoon.

 

 And now they are off to serve "the Heavenly King of Glory...

chosen e'er to witness for His name

far and wide to tell the Father's story

far and wide his love to proclaim...."

Such is the life of a missionary.

Planning Day / Another Exchange

 This morning, just before I left for work,

the Sisters ate lunch and we had a few minutes to visit.

 

 Thursday's are their planning day.

Here they were in the afternoon,

hard at work.

 

 They had another exchange day, but this time it is from

9 p.m. to 9 p.m. instead of 9 a.m. to 9 a.m.
It was about time to head to bed and Sister O had just arrived.....

She said, "I'm SO tired!"

Then she plopped down on the couch like this.

I told her I was going to post this picture with the caption

"There's no place like home!"

 

I was so nice having her "home" with us again.
Sister Max will return in 24 hours.



They're Off!

The new companionship were all smiles this morning

as they walked out the door to teach a lesson.

I grabbed my camera and followed them

out the door. I said, "Your off!"  Sister Max said,

"Yes, we're off like a dirty shirt!" 



Rainy Monday in Texas

 Our newest Hermana is from Utah.

She got her first piece of mail today!

 

 She couldn't wait to open it.

Her mom sent her pictures from home.
She loved them!

 

 I have nick named our newest Sister....

I will call her Sister Maximum.

Here she is eating a little snack after they came in tonight.
Notice she is wearing her coat.
I told her, "I want to get a picture of you eating wearing your coat."
Sister Red Baron reported, "She has been wearing her coat all day."
Our weather goes from hot to cold during this time of year.
It takes a little getting used to....

 

Sister Red Baron got her hair cut today.

She looks so pretty!

She is showing you her agenda.

They have been very busy in their "new" area.

They have several new people to teach already.

They are working hard.

It was raining and cold tonight.

Winter is on its way!
