This is what Sister Missionaries look like at 8 a.m.
while eating their breakfast and studying their lessons.
It sounds quiet. No conversation...just study.

They are smiling because they are surprised to see me.
They don't see me at this time of the day very often.
Morning is for missionaries!

I can't believe they didn't open those curtains and blinds for the beautiful sunshine to stream in! And I thought missionaries had to get up at 6 am? Do they do personal study and exercise for 2 hrs before breakfast?
ReplyDeleteI think their wake up time is 6:30 a.m., then they get cleaned up and ready for the day. Yes, they study and exercise in the mornings, too. Some of the sisters exercise in the house and some of them go outside. I have no idea when they do the various things because I am usually just getting up at 8 a.m. and then get my shower and get ready for the day. I don't even come out into the living room until 9 a.m. By 9 they have usually gone in their bedroom to do "missionary stuff" for awhile. They have most of their appointments in the evenings. During the day missionaries study and plan a lot. They attend a lot of meetings. They also knock on doors and walk around in neighborhoods, grocery stores, and apartment and trailer park parking lots just looking for people to talk to. Being a missionary is not an easy job. It is a lot harder than it looks.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why they don't open up the house in the mornings. None of the sisters have ever opened the curtains in the morning. Maybe because they are not in their missionary clothes....and Mike has never opened up the house before I get up. I don't know why. When I get up, I open everything up.
ReplyDeletegot it...Thanks:) And I never thought being a missionary would be easy!
